The Spring Charity Fundraisers
The Spring Charity raises money to help local families and their disabled children.
The charity was formed in 2000 when friends and regulars at the Plough-on-the-Green in Newbury held a meeting to organise a charity ball and raise money for disabled children in the Newbury area.
They were advised at this meeting that the Castlecroft Respite Home in Donnington desperately needed a sensory garden. The money from the charity ball went toward the much needed sensory garden and other specialised sensory equipment.
Since then the charity has provided specialist equipment for local disabled children to enhance the quality of their lives.
